10th Planet Maribor Jiu Jitsu nudi netradicionalen sistem brazilskega jiu jitsa, namenjen ljudem vseh starosti, tipom telesa in spretnosti. Razvil ga je Eddie Bravo, glavni trener v Sloveniji pa je črni pas Gregor Štrakl.

ZAČETNIŠKA SKUPINA

Začetniška skupina je za vse, ki šele začenjajo in so brez izkušenj. Program je zasnovan tako, da vsem, ki začenjajo svojo pot v jiu jitsu zagotavlja močno podlago, osredotočeno na temeljne tehnike, ki bi jih moral poznati vsak vsak vaditelj jiu jitsa. Naš cilj je ustvariti vadbeno okolje, ki omogoča začetnikom, da se počutijo udobno in varno, medtem ko se učijo veščin brazilskega jiu jitsa.

NAPREDNA SKUPINA

Napredna skupina je zasnovana za razvoj in izpopolnjevanje učencev in tekmovalcev z že osvojenimi močnimi osnovami brazilskega jiu jitsa. Ta program bo učencem omogočil, da svoje znanje popeljejo na naslednjo stopnjo s poglobljenim raziskovanjem naprednih tehnik sodobnega Jiu Jitsa.

    I've known and trained with Gregor for around 5 years. He honed his knowledge and wrestling skills, BJJ, and overall fitness by traveling the world and learning from the best people. He's devoted himself to the art and that passion comes through in his teaching. He is always attentive and eager to give meticulous, practical tips to less experienced colleagues. His accomplishments span multiple domains, from being an ambitious competitor to a brilliant businessman. On top of everything, Gregor is very kind and is a great teacher for anyone interested in jumping into this world. See you on the mat!

    Gregor is an exceptional coach, I have been learning from him for about 2 months and without a doubt, he is one of the most influential instructors I have ever encountered. So calm, full of knowledge and with such finesse. I enjoy his steps to learn a technique for the reason I never have questions about a particular move because he covers it all so effortlessly. I'm lucky to train under this modern day Gandolf.

    Gregor is well versed in the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu allowing him to be a great teacher. He can easily breakdown and articulate moves or teach bjj at a higher level by providing concepts. Whatever your learning style(detail oriented or high level abstraction) I highly recommend working with him if you are interested in learning bjj. I also forgot to mention that he is also a really cool guy!

    I was lucky enough to find Greg on Craigslist; I was a fat and really out of shape kid who wanted to get into shape and learn how to defend myself. Greg was very friendly; high energy and great teacher. He started me out with the basics of foot work, jump rope, wrestling, BJJ, judo, and MMA. I also have learned a bunch of muay thai  that i still train regular today and I did very well in Thailand training with pro's due to Greg's training. I think if I came there not knowing the basics and having Greg's help I would of been hurt or made an idiot of myself. »

    I've had the pleasure of training with Gregor for a few years now. He is a great competitor but even better teacher. He has a way of using great analogies that help you understand the complexity of martial arts. I know that I have personally elevated my game each time he has given me words of advice. If you get a chance to train with him, consider yourself blessed!

    What can't I say about Coach Strakl. He is a well rounded coach of Martial arts and fitness. The way he presents curriculum and logic are unlike most people I have been coached by. Coaching in all three domains of learning (1.Cognitive 2. Affective3. Psycomotor) ensures that infromation is learned and retained. I could not be happier to have had such meticulously structured crystal clear instruction. If you are looking for a no bull, real deal trainer/ coach look no further. Fun Fact he is a stand up comic also!!! Highly Recommended!!

    Z Jiu Jitsu se ukvarjam že nekaj let in morem priznat, da je Gregorjev prihod v Slovenijo, vodenje seminarjev in posledično odprtje lastne šole 10th Planet Maribor, močno vplivalo na moje veščine. Gregorjevo znanje je ogromno, najbolj pa mi je všeč, da to znanje predaja na natančen in zanimiv način. Verjamem, da bom s pomočjo njegovega mentorstva svoj jiu jitsu pripeljal na popolnoma nov nivo!

Team’s 3rd Competition in Zaporizhnia, Ukraine

What a weekend. A week ago, a team flew 1500 km into Kyiv, Ukraine, to join @nogigregor for the later part of the camp, and then took an 8-hour train Friday to compete in Zaporizhnia over the weekend. With the team’s only 3rd competition, 2 golds, 3 silvers and 3 bronzes was the total outcome, but more importantly, more data inputs to continue growing a team. @zojagostencnik , at her 2nd competition as a white belt, stepped up to blue, beating her opponent 17 6 only to succumb to her friend and teammate in the final to an accidental reap earning a silver medal. Both ladies closed out the division. @juresesko had an incredible showing earning Gold, winning all three matches without a single point being scored on him, and earning one submission. Well done. @anejgajsek , coming off knee surgery, tested competition waters for the second time, first as a brand new blue belt earning bronze. @tilen.toplak earned a bronze at blue, losing a tightly contested decision, and could not advance and showcase all of his jiu-jitsu, disappointing coming off two consecutive tournament victories. Great stuff coming from this guy. Andrej had an incredible showing earning bronze via three submissions, losing a decision against a very game opponent, and showcasing great resolve in the mixed Absolutes. Of course, it is always great to see our Ukrainian 10th Planet Blue Belt and ZR friend, @fl1rryjiu , earning silver in gi at her weight and absolutes and winning Gold in no-gi. With the team’s only 3rd competition, we keep improving. We want to thank the @tms_league for a professionally run event. We look forward to being back very soon

Team’s 4th Tournament

The team’s 4th tournament concluded today at @ajptour We brought 12 competitors, including two children, for the 1st time. We obtained 5🥇 , 5 🥈, and 1 🥉, fighting 26 matches, winning 17 (6 by submission), and losing 9, including 1 with team mates closing a division. We scored 117 points and gave up 46, scoring #8 academy spot amount 25 in mixed gi & no-gi category as a strictly no-gi school. Today, our thoughts and support are also with our TeamMates and friends in 🇺🇦 @tms_league , where we were training in peace just three weeks ago. We continue improving and refining our competition strategy and acumen and look forward to representing at the next one even better.

In the blue belt category: Tilen wins 1st and Jan 2nd, closing out the finals match displaying beautiful jiu-jitsu. Andrej takes 2nd in a stacked division, losing in finals by a point, 2 to 1. Vlado wins one by submission and loosing one earning Silver.

Zoja earned gold with two wins among the white belts, including a beautiful inverted triangle. Jure earned bronze, starting off well as usual, but making a shifting mistake, costing him advancement from quarters. Rok took second winning his first two matches and tiring in the finals. Three white belts competed for the very first time as well. Armin and Beno both displayed exceptional skills winning their respective division. Denis obtained experience winning his first match and losing his next two and will be back stronger. Our two children, Luka and Ela, earned 1st and 2nd place in their categories – in a gi.
